  • 4 large eggs

  • 1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool completely in the pan.
  8. While the cake cools, prepare the frosting. In a medium bowl, beat together the drained crushed pineapple, softened cream cheese, and powdered sugar until smooth and well combined.
  9. Once the cake is completely cool, spread the pineapple frosting evenly over the top.
