- 3 ripe avocados
- 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Cut the avocados in half and remove the pits. Scoop the flesh into a medium bowl.
- Add the cilantro, lime juice, red onion, jalapeño, salt, and pepper to the bowl.
- Use a fork or potato masher to mash the ingredients to your desired consistency.
- Taste and adjust salt or lime juice if needed.
- Serve immediately with tortilla chips.
Notes
- For a smoother texture, use an immersion blender briefly.
- If you prefer more heat, leave some seeds in the jalapeño.
