Description

A straightforward recipe for making flavorful turkey burgers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form into patties about 3/4 inch thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook the patties for 5 to 7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  5. Remove from skillet and serve immediately on buns with your preferred toppings.

Notes

  • For juicier burgers, use ground turkey with 10% fat content.
  • You can grill these burgers instead of pan-frying; cook for about 5 minutes per side over medium heat.
