- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form into patties about 3/4 inch thick.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the patties for 5 to 7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Remove from skillet and serve immediately on buns with your preferred toppings.
Notes
- For juicier burgers, use ground turkey with 10% fat content.
- You can grill these burgers instead of pan-frying; cook for about 5 minutes per side over medium heat.
