Description
Simple gelatin shots flavored for a Halloween theme.
Ingredients

- 1 box (3 oz) lime gelatin
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 1/2 cup vodka or white rum
- Black food coloring gel
- Orange food coloring gel
- Small plastic cups with lids
Instructions
- Prepare the lime gelatin according to package directions using the boiling water.
- Stir in the cold water and the alcohol.
- Divide the mixture evenly into two bowls.
- Add several drops of black food coloring to one bowl until you achieve a dark color.
- Add several drops of orange food coloring to the second bowl until you achieve a bright orange color.
- Pour the black mixture into half of the plastic cups.
- Pour the orange mixture into the remaining plastic cups.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
- Place lids on the cups before serving.
Notes
- Chill the cups before pouring the liquid gelatin for better setting.
- Use a toothpick to gently stir the color into the gelatin if needed.
- For a non-alcoholic version, substitute the alcohol with an equal amount of cold water or clear soda.
