Description
Simple, no-bake dessert balls featuring a green coating and a red candy top, resembling the Grinch.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 12 oz white chocolate melting wafers
- Green food coloring
- Red M&M candies
Instructions
- Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a sealed bag and crushing them with a rolling pin.
- In a medium bowl, mix the Oreo crumbs and softened cream cheese until fully combined.
- Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Chill the balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Melt the white chocolate wafers according to package directions.
- Stir a few drops of green food coloring into the melted white chocolate until you achieve a bright green color.
- Dip each chilled Oreo ball into the green chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Tap off any excess chocolate.
- Immediately place one red M&M candy on top of each ball to represent the Grinch’s heart or nose.
- Return the balls to the parchment-lined sheet.
- Refrigerate until the chocolate is set, about 1 hour.
Notes
- If the cream cheese is too cold, the mixture will be crumbly and hard to roll. Let it soften completely.
- Use candy melts instead of regular white chocolate chips for easier melting and setting.
- You can use a toothpick to help dip the balls if you prefer not to use a fork.
