Description

A straightforward recipe for making flavorful chicken ramen at home.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cooked chicken
  • 2 servings fresh ramen noodles
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 soft-boiled eggs, halved
  • 1 green onion, sliced
  • Nori sheets, cut into strips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine chicken broth, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger in a saucepan.
  2. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat. Do not boil rapidly.
  3. Add the shredded cooked chicken to the broth and heat through for 2 minutes.
  4. Cook the ramen noodles according to package directions, usually in separate boiling water. Drain well.
  5. Divide the cooked noodles between two large bowls.
  6. Ladle the hot chicken broth mixture over the noodles in each bowl.
  7. Top each serving with half of the soft-boiled eggs and sliced green onions.
  8. Add nori strips if using. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For soft-boiled eggs, cook eggs for 6 to 7 minutes in boiling water, then immediately transfer to ice water before peeling.
  • You can substitute store-bought ramen seasoning packets if you prefer not to use soy sauce and ginger.
