Description

A simple and comforting casserole made with chicken, rice, and creamy soup.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chicken pieces, uncooked rice, cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, and water.
  3. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Cover the dish with aluminum foil.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil, sprinkle the cheddar cheese over the top.
  8. Bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the rice is cooked through.
  9. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can add frozen peas or carrots for extra vegetables.
  • For a richer flavor, you can use milk instead of water.
