- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
- 2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 ounces uncooked elbow macaroni
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
- Add the chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more until fragrant.
- Pour in the diced tomatoes, condensed tomato soup, and water. Stir in the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Add the uncooked macaroni to the skillet, stirring to combine.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- For a spicier dish, add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the seasonings.
- You can substitute other types of pasta, but adjust the cooking time as needed.
