Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 ounces uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
  2. Add the chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the diced tomatoes, condensed tomato soup, and water. Stir in the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  6. Add the uncooked macaroni to the skillet, stirring to combine.
  7. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed, stirring occasionally.
  8. Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
  9. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For a spicier dish, add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the seasonings.
