A hearty, simple casserole dish suitable for a main meal.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 cup frozen corn
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup crushed saltine crackers
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Brown the ground beef and drain off any excess fat.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, chopped onion, cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, milk, peas, and corn. Mix well.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the mixture.
- In a small bowl, toss the crushed saltine crackers with the melted butter.
- Spread the buttered cracker crumbs over the cheese layer.
- Bake for 30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
Notes
- You can substitute cream of celery soup for one of the other condensed soups for a slight flavor change.
- For a richer flavor, use sharp cheddar cheese.
