Simple recipe for soft, buttery biscuits baked in melted butter.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- 3/4 cup cold milk
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Pour the 1/2 cup of melted butter into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Cut in the cold butter pieces using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Pour in the cold milk and stir just until the dough comes together. Do not overmix.
- Drop spoonfuls of the dough directly into the melted butter in the baking pan, spacing them slightly apart.
- Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can brush the tops of the biscuits with a little extra melted butter after they come out of the oven.
- Use cold ingredients for the best biscuit texture.
