Description

A simple salad combining fresh broccoli, crispy bacon, and a creamy dressing.


Ingredients

  • 1 head broccoli, cut into small florets
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the broccoli florets, crumbled bacon, red onion, raisins, and sunflower seeds.
  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Pour the dressing over the broccoli mixture.
  4. Toss gently until all ingredients are evenly coated.
  5. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

  • You can substitute dried cranberries for raisins if you prefer.
  • For a lighter dressing, use Greek yogurt instead of some of the mayonnaise.
