Description
A simple casserole made with ground beef, cream of mushroom soup, and a topping of tater tots.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup frozen green beans, thawed
- 1 bag (32 ounces) frozen tater tots
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Brown the ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat. Drain off any excess fat.
- Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, pepper, and green beans into the beef mixture. Spread this mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Arrange the tater tots in a single layer over the beef mixture.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the tater tots.
- Bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the tots are golden brown.
Notes
- You can substitute cream of chicken soup for cream of mushroom soup if you prefer.
- For crispier tots, bake the casserole uncovered for the entire cooking time.
