Description

A simple casserole made with ground beef, cream of mushroom soup, and a topping of tater tots.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup frozen green beans, thawed
  • 1 bag (32 ounces) frozen tater tots
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Brown the ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat. Drain off any excess fat.
  3. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, pepper, and green beans into the beef mixture. Spread this mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Arrange the tater tots in a single layer over the beef mixture.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the tater tots.
  7. Bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the tots are golden brown.

Notes

  • You can substitute cream of chicken soup for cream of mushroom soup if you prefer.
  • For crispier tots, bake the casserole uncovered for the entire cooking time.
