Description

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon cold water (for slurry)

Instructions

  1. Combine vinegar, sugar, 1/4 cup water, ketchup, and soy sauce in a small saucepan.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  3. In a separate small bowl, mix the cornstarch and 1 teaspoon of cold water to create a slurry.
  4. Whisk the slurry into the boiling sauce mixture.
  5. Continue to cook and stir until the sauce thickens, about 1 minute.
  6. Remove from heat and cool slightly before serving.
