Description

A straightforward recipe for classic chicken noodle soup made easily in a slow cooker.


Ingredients

  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken breast
  • 1 cup sliced carrots
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups egg noodles

Instructions

  1. Combine chicken broth, shredded chicken, carrots, celery, onion, thyme, salt, and pepper in the slow cooker.
  2. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours.
  3. About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the egg noodles.
  4. Continue cooking until the noodles are tender.
  5. Serve hot.
