A straightforward recipe for making crispy chicken using a coating mix.

- 1 package Shake ‘N Bake coating mix
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken pieces (thighs or breasts)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Lightly coat the chicken pieces with vegetable oil.
- Place the coating mix in a shallow dish or plastic bag.
- Dredge each oiled chicken piece in the coating mix, pressing firmly to adhere the coating to all sides.
- Place the coated chicken pieces skin-side up in a baking pan. Do not overcrowd the pan.
- Bake for 35 to 45 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit and the coating is crisp.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, you can place the coated chicken on a wire rack set inside the baking pan.
- If you prefer a slightly different flavor, you can mix a small amount of paprika into the coating mix before use.
