Description

A fast recipe using leftover chili to make a simple nacho dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bag tortilla chips
  • 2 cups leftover chili
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • Sour cream for topping (optional)
  • Salsa for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Spread the tortilla chips in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  3. Spoon the leftover chili evenly over the chips.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the chili.
  5. Top with sliced black olives and chopped onion.
  6. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the cheese melts and the chili is hot.
  7. Remove from the oven.
  8. Serve immediately with sour cream and salsa, if desired.

Notes

  • If your chili is very thick, you may want to thin it slightly with a tablespoon of water or broth before spooning it onto the chips.
  • You can use any type of shredded cheese you prefer.
  • For extra flavor, add a dash of hot sauce over the top before serving.
