Description
A simple, festive ice cream float flavored with peppermint.
Ingredients

- 1 cup peppermint ice cream
- 1/2 cup chilled lemon-lime soda or ginger ale
- 1 tablespoon crushed peppermint candies
- 1 small candy cane for garnish
Instructions
- Place one scoop of peppermint ice cream into a tall glass.
- Slowly pour the chilled soda over the ice cream.
- Sprinkle the crushed peppermint candies on top.
- Garnish the rim of the glass with a candy cane.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use cream soda instead of lemon-lime soda.
- If you do not have peppermint ice cream, use vanilla ice cream and add 1/4 teaspoon of peppermint extract to the soda before pouring.
