A quick recipe for sweet and savory shrimp coated in a honey garlic sauce.

- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Pat the shrimp dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Do not let it burn.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes, if using.
- Pour the sauce over the shrimp in the skillet. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens and coats the shrimp.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately.
Notes
- Serve this shrimp over rice or with steamed vegetables.
- For extra flavor, add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice at the end.
