A simple recipe for classic ground beef tacos.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 12 taco shells
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 1/2 cup sour cream
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
- Stir in the taco seasoning and 1/2 cup of water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
- Warm the taco shells according to package directions.
- Fill each taco shell with the ground beef mixture.
- Top with shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, salsa, and sour cream.
Notes
- For a spicier taco, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the ground beef mixture.
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for the ground beef.
