Ground Beef Tacos

Description

A simple recipe for classic ground beef tacos.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 12 taco shells
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  2. Stir in the taco seasoning and 1/2 cup of water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
  3. Warm the taco shells according to package directions.
  4. Fill each taco shell with the ground beef mixture.
  5. Top with shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, salsa, and sour cream.

Notes

  • For a spicier taco, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the ground beef mixture.
  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for the ground beef.
