Description

A simple and flavorful pasta dish featuring homemade meatballs in a rich garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, 1 clove of minced garlic, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the meatballs on all sides.
  5. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.
  6. While the meatballs are baking, cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  7. In the same skillet (remove meatballs to a plate), melt butter over medium heat. Add the remaining 1 clove of minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  8. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  9. Add the cooked spaghetti and meatballs to the skillet. Toss to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water until it reaches your desired consistency.
  10. Stir in fresh parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
