Description
Simple, festive Rice Krispie bars decorated to look like Frankenstein’s monster.
Ingredients

- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 package (10 ounces) marshmallows
- 3 tablespoons butter
- Green food coloring
- Black decorating gel or icing
- Candy eyeballs
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat.
- Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat. Stir in green food coloring until the mixture is uniformly green.
- Pour in Rice Krispies cereal and mix until evenly coated.
- Lightly butter your hands or a spatula. Press the mixture evenly into a 9×13 inch pan. Let cool completely.
- Cut the cooled mixture into squares.
- Decorate each square to look like Frankenstein’s monster using black icing for the mouth and hair, and candy eyeballs for the eyes.
Notes
- Use a little cooking spray on your hands when pressing the mixture into the pan to prevent sticking.
- If the mixture cools too much while mixing, return the pan to low heat briefly to soften it again.
