A sweet, crunchy snack mix inspired by strawberry shortcake flavors.
Ingredients

- 12 cups Rice Chex cereal
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup strawberry flavored chips
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup strawberry gelatin powder
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup freeze-dried strawberries, crushed
Instructions
- Place the Rice Chex cereal in a very large bowl.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips, strawberry chips, and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Stir the vanilla extract into the melted chocolate mixture.
- Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal and gently stir until the cereal is evenly coated.
- In a large zip-top bag, combine the strawberry gelatin powder and powdered sugar.
- Add the coated cereal to the bag. Seal the bag and shake until the cereal is completely covered with the powder mixture.
- Spread the coated cereal onto a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper to cool and dry completely.
- Once cool, stir in the crushed freeze-dried strawberries.
Notes
- Store the puppy chow in an airtight container at room temperature.
- For a finer powder coating, crush the freeze-dried strawberries before adding them.
