Description
Tender pork chops in a rich, creamy mushroom sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 pork chops
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season pork chops with salt and pepper. Sear pork chops for 3-4 minutes per side, until browned. Remove pork chops from skillet and set aside.
- Add butter to the skillet. Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more until fragrant.
- Add mushrooms to the skillet and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
- Return pork chops to the skillet. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until pork chops are cooked through.
Notes
- Serve with your favorite side dishes like mashed potatoes or pasta.
- For a richer sauce, you can add a splash of white wine with the chicken broth.
