Creamy Mushroom Pork Chops

Tender pork chops in a rich, creamy mushroom sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 pork chops
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season pork chops with salt and pepper. Sear pork chops for 3-4 minutes per side, until browned. Remove pork chops from skillet and set aside.
  2. Add butter to the skillet. Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more until fragrant.
  3. Add mushrooms to the skillet and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Return pork chops to the skillet. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until pork chops are cooked through.
