Description

  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg, beaten

  • 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper

  • 1/4 cup ketchup (for meatloaf)
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (for glaze)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, milk, beaten egg, onion, green pepper, salt, and 1/4 cup of ketchup. Mix gently until just combined; do not overmix.
  3. Press the meat mixture evenly into the prepared loaf pan.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the 1/2 cup of ketchup, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar for the glaze.
  5. Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
  6. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
  7. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground pork or a mix of ground beef and pork for a different flavor.
  • If you prefer a crispier top, place the meatloaf under the broiler for the last 2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
