Description

A simple recipe for creamy penne pasta with chicken, bacon, and ranch seasoning.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound penne pasta
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, cubed
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) dry ranch seasoning mix
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook penne pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove chicken from the skillet.
  4. Add chicken broth to the skillet and bring to a simmer.
  5. Stir in the ranch seasoning mix until dissolved.
  6. Add the cubed cream cheese and milk. Stir constantly until the cream cheese melts and the sauce is smooth.
  7. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
  8. Add the cooked penne pasta to the sauce. Toss to coat everything evenly.
  9. Stir in the crumbled bacon.
  10. Serve immediately.
