- 1 cup buttermilk

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a standard loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate medium bowl, whisk the sugar, egg, buttermilk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined; do not overmix.
- Gently fold in the Christmas sprinkles.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before turning it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- You can substitute sour cream for buttermilk if needed, using the same measurement.
- For a slightly crispier top, sprinkle a small amount of coarse sugar over the batter before baking.
