A simple baked casserole featuring chicken, marinara sauce, cheese, and pasta.

- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
- 8 ounces dry egg noodles or penne pasta
- 24 ounces marinara sauce
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain well.
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Mix until everything is evenly coated.
- Stir the cooked and drained pasta into the chicken mixture.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese over the top.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the casserole is heated through.
- Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can use rotisserie chicken for faster preparation.
- For a crispier top, broil for the last 1-2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
