Description

A simple recipe combining potatoes, smoked sausage, cheese, and ranch seasoning for a flavorful side dish or light meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced
  • 2 pounds potatoes, cubed
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) dry ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the cubed potatoes with the melted butter and half of the ranch seasoning mix.
  3. Spread the seasoned potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 25 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  5. While potatoes bake, cook the sliced sausage in a skillet over medium heat until heated through. Drain any excess grease.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining ranch seasoning mix and the milk until smooth.
  7. Remove the potatoes from the oven. Add the cooked sausage to the potatoes.
  8. Pour the ranch milk mixture over the potatoes and sausage. Toss to coat evenly.
  9. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top.
  10. Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

  • You can use any type of smoked sausage you prefer, such as kielbasa or andouille.
  • For crispier potatoes, increase the initial baking time by 5 minutes.
