- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 can (10.75 ounces) condensed tomato soup
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup uncooked elbow macaroni
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
- Stir in the condensed tomato soup, water, shredded cheddar cheese, evaporated milk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Add the uncooked elbow macaroni to the skillet.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the macaroni is tender.
- Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can add other vegetables like peas or corn if desired.
- Top with extra cheese before baking for a cheesier casserole.
