Ingredients

- 1 pound breakfast sausage
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 8–10 refrigerated biscuits
Instructions
- Cook the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease.
- Sprinkle the flour over the cooked sausage and stir to combine. Cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly, until the gravy thickens.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- While the gravy simmers, bake the biscuits according to package directions.
- Serve the hot gravy over the freshly baked biscuits.
Notes
- For a richer gravy, use half-and-half instead of milk.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little heat.
