Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 cup canned black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup corn
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheese
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, avocado, cilantro

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat. Drain any excess grease.
  2. Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
  3. Assemble your bowls: Start with a base of cooked rice.
  4. Top with the seasoned ground beef, black beans, and corn.
  5. Add shredded lettuce, salsa, and shredded cheese.
  6. Add any other desired toppings.

Notes

  • For a spicier bowl, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the ground beef mixture.
  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for the ground beef.
