Description
Cook chicken breasts in a slow cooker with barbecue sauce for an easy meal.

- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 (18 ounce) bottle barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in the bottom of a slow cooker.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, water, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or on high for 3 to 4 hours.
- Remove chicken and shred it using two forks.
- Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir to coat with the sauce.
- Serve hot on buns or over rice.
Notes
- For thicker sauce, remove the lid during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- You can substitute brown sugar for some of the barbecue sauce for extra sweetness.
