- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Press the cookie dough evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set but still slightly soft.
- Let the cookie cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- You can frost the cooled cake with your favorite buttercream frosting if desired.
- For a thicker cake, use a 10-inch pan. Adjust baking time as needed.
- Press extra chocolate chips onto the top before baking for a decorative finish.
